Daisy is a sweet lady who loves, loves, loves people! She is a spry older girl who enjoys going for walks, playing in the backyard or just relaxing on the couch. She likes to fetch her ball and really enjoys wading in the pool.

Daisy is perfectly house broken and walks well on a leash. She knows sit and a little bit of stay. She does best with slow introductions to other dogs who have mellow personalities (she like to be in charge). Daisy has done well with both of her foster brothers.

New York is a very loving goofball. He is about 11 years old, but he is very healthy and active for his age. He is a big teddy bear who just wants to be with his person/people all the time, he seems to bond better with women, but loves men too.

He knows basic commands including sit, lay down, no, kennel up, and hug (with chest pat). He listens perfectly to his foster mom, and pretty good for his foster dad unless he sees a squirrel.... then he hears nothing he says. (His foster mom has never experienced NY not listening, because he stays by her side). He walks well on a leash, is house and crate trained, although he would prefer to lay next to your bed at night. He is fine with the cat in his foster home, not really interested unless she runs then he thinks it's time to play. He absolutely loves his foster-Rottie brother, and would do very well with another large dog. He shares all of his toys & thinks stuffed animals are the best to chew on.

Mookie is from the Houston Floods - a tiny little old dog wandering around with a big black lab. So many animals have been displaced because of the floods and they need the rescue friendly North to help them out! Mooks is around 9 years old and a mere 6 pounds.

Mooks is a sweet boy. He spends his days snuggled up on the office chair - very happy if his foster mom happens to be sitting in it! He gives her a little bit room at the edge! He loves to be outside - he goes every time he is out!

Polo is a 13 year old Bichon Frise looking to find a cozy retirement home. He is already neutered and still a happy, fun loving dog. Polo was a beloved pet for his whole life. Sadly, one of his parents died recently and his other human parent was blind, and was moved to California to an assisted living closer to his family. Polo was unable to come and now is at the shelter. Polo has been friendly with dogs, big and small, and is easy to walk on the leash.
