In just a few days, one of the most romantic days of the year for couples is upon us – and if you're single, it may just be the day you've been dreading most. That's right, we're talking about Valentine's Day, and if you intend to have plans that include actually going out/not marathoning the new season of 'House of Cards' (which…why?) but haven't actually gotten those plans in order yet, don't worry – you still have plenty of time…and plenty of options.

Aside from the standard dinner date options, we've compiled a list of Valentine's weekend ideas that should leave both you and your date satisfied. Choose carefully and spread the love this weekend!

Location: Buffalo Niagara Convention Center
Time: 3 p.m.-7 p.m. (2 p.m. early entry for VIPs)
You've heard us talking about Buffalo On Tap, but seriously, who WOULDN'T want to spend a Saturday with their sweetie at a craft beer festival? Your ticket gets you tons of samples and a souvenir glass to take home. What makes it even sweeter? There'll be live music, and BW's BBQ will be on hand if you get hungry!

Enjoy a sexy show at Niagara Fall's The Topper sponsored by Pole Play Dance Studio.  Choose the Dinner & Show package, which includes appetizer, salad, entrée and drink for $45 (or see the show only for $15).

Location: Niagara Wine Trail (Between Niagara and Orleans Counties, Lockport)

Spend the weekend with your sweetheart sampling wine paired with chocolates from a local chocolatier. Tickets valid for all three days of the event and include a tasting of three wines and a chocolate sample at each winery and a commemorative wine glass from your starting winery.

Does your Valentine's Day typically suck? Then join in on Buffalo's third annual Valentine's Vampires Masquerade Ball for Charity at the Hotel Lafayette. Costume up and enjoy a night of dancing, dark artists, vendors and vendors. And if that wasn't enough, head over to Ohm Ultra Lounge for the after party. Tickets are $20 presale, $25 on the day of/at the door. 21+ only.

Location: The Screening Room Inc. (3131 Northtown Plaza Shopping Center, Buffalo)
Time: Screenings at 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Make a pit stop to The Screening Room during your evening and catch a screening of the romantic classic Casablanca. $6 admission.

Location: 710 Main Theatre (710 Main Street, Buffalo)
Time: Varies on show time
Book a dinner package and then spend a few hours at Shea's and see the Buffalo Laboratory Theatre's adapatation of Edmund Rostand's classic tale of romance and adventure. Packages start at $123 and include a three course dinner at the Bijou for two and two tickets to Cyrano.

Swoon to classics like “San Francisco” and “That Old Devil Moon” as Tony Bennett impersonator Forte Thomasula performs in Niagara Falls for a special Valentine’s Day performance. Free show, dinner packages available.

Join Woodbury Vineyards for Happy Hours, part of the Lake Erie Wine Country’s Wine and Chocolate Weekend. Get complimentary appetizers, specials on wine by the glass and wine flights, a shrimp, lasagna and champagne dinner buffet and an opportunity to mingle with other wine lovers.

Time: Shows at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on both nights
Laugh your lid off at Helium Comedy Club, where Gary Gulman ("Last Comic Standing", "Comedy Central Presents", "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno") will be performing throughout the weekend.

Location: Kleinhans Music Hall
Time: 6:30 p.m.-11 p.m.
A dinner and dance at Kleinhans Music Hall. Dinner will be catered by Oliver’s Restaurant and features salad, carving stations, desserts and a complimentary glass of champagne. Cash bar begins at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing until 11. Proceeds benefit Kleinhans, entertainment provided by the Jim Tudini Big Band featuring Bobby Militello.

Location: Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens (2655 South Park Avenue, Buffalo)
Time: 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
Walk through Buffalo Gardens as they're  illuminated with theatrical and interactive lighting and enjoy entertainment during the weekend from Randle and the Late Night Scandals (February 14) and Spun Out Fire (February 15). $10 adults ($8 for members), $5 for students and seniors.

Dance the night away with AMBIance Tango Quartet at PAUSA Art House. $7 / $5 students.

Location: Tifft Nature Preserve (1200 Fuhrmann Boulevard, Buffalo)
Time: 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
Birds and bees on the brain? Get literal before you get physical and enjoy a moonlit stroll at Tifft Nature Preserve. Watch the full moon rise and enjoy the crisp air, then end by having hot chocolate in the Tifft's cabin. Non-members $6, showshoe rentals for an additional $2 per person.

Location: Hidden Valley Animal Adventure (2887 Royce Road, Varysburg)
Time: 4 p.m.-9 p.m.
The Lodge at Hidden Valley will feature a special Entrees for Two Valentine's Menu February 14 & 15. Dinner served 4pm - 9pm. Entrees for Two include Chateaubriand, Surf 'n Turf, and Prime Rib.

Location: Tralf Music Hall (622 Main Street, Buffalo)
Time: Shows at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively)
Cozy up with your sweetheart at Tralf Music Hall to the tunes of R&B group The Whispers. Tickets are $49 per person in advance / $54 per person on the day of the show, but if you want to make the evening really special, go for the Sweetheart VIP Package, which includes reserved seating and table, champagne split with chocolate covered strawberries, a long stemmed rose for the ladies, VIP admission and a commemorative show lanyard.

Location: Lake Erie Wine Country (Silver Creek, NY to Harbor Creek, PA)

Wineries will pair their own splendid chocolate creations with a delightful wine accompaniment. A $35 allows you to enjoy a food and wine paring at all 24 wineries, wine tasting, specialty chocolates from Pulakos Chocolates, a booklet of recipes, a Lake Erie Wine Country wine glass and a $5 voucher. 21+ only.
