10 Staff, Faculty and Students Test Positive for COVID-19 at Buffalo State

A total of 10 faculty, staff and students have tested positive for COVID-19 at Buff State.

Six students from Buffalo State College have tested positive for COVID-19, according to WKBW. In addition, four faculty and staff members have also tested positive. Two of the students reside on campus, while the other four commute to campus.

"We believe an informed community is a safe community; therefore, we have created a COVID-19 online case dashboard for the fall semester. The online dashboard will be regularly updated as new cases of COVID-19 are identified this semester. Students, faculty, and staff members are encouraged to bookmark the dashboard and monitor it throughout the year. Campuswide e-mails will not be issued after each positive test. Campuswide notifications will be reserved for larger outbreaks that may affect operations." ~ Buffalo State College President Katherine Conway-Turner via WKBW

Students who test positive for COVID-19 will be quarantined in North Wing. Students who don't live on campus and any faculty or staff who test positive will quarantine at their homes. Students can get coronavirus information from the College here.

There seem to be breakouts at quite a few colleges.  According to a CNN TV report, more than 20,000 college students have tested positive for COVID-19 in 36 states.  It seems like this is just going to be part of the "new normal."
