If you get paid by the hour and earn minimum wage, you will soon see an increase in your pay!

New York State Governor, Andrew Cuomo has announced that wage increases will begin in New York as of December 31st!

According to Metro Source News:

...the minimum wage upstate will rise to eleven dollars and ten cents an hour.  Governor Cuomo is also launching a wage theft hotline for workers to call if they feel their employer is not complying.

Many restaurants and business owners say they're against the increase because it hurts their bottom line.

Don't be surprised if you see an increase in the cost of items at places like small stores, bars and restaurants as owners seek to offset the wage increase.
