Join JACK FM and The WNY Food Bank in Welcoming The Rolling Stones to Town.

Local music stars align to celebrate the arrival of The Rolling Stones while raising money and awareness for Food Bank of WNY.

The event will include a headline performance by newly formed all-star band Dead Flowers with special guests the Gallow Walkers.

You Get What You Need Benefit Concert for the Food Bank of Western New York takes place on Friday, July 10th at the Cove Seafood & Banquets, 4701 Transit Road in Depew, New York. The concert will begin at 8pm.

Dead Flowers' band members are all stalwarts of the local music scene and include: Geoff Boulden, Bob Kupczyk, Bill Moore, Bob Rich III and Gary Zoldos, the event's organizer.

Zoldos has organized several large scale events to benefit the Food Bank of WNY over the years including the highly popular "Feed the City" benefit concert which is currently on hiatus while a suitable headlining act can be booked and the tradition hopes to resume this Fall.

Buffalo’s own The Gallow Walkers will open the show at 8:00 PM.  The purpose of the event is to raise money and awareness for the Food Bank of WNY while also paying tribute to the Rolling Stones and is also meant to show some WNY hospitality to Rolling Stones fans from all over the world who will receive free shuttle service from nearby hotels courtesy of the Cove.

In lieu of an admission charge monetary donations will be accepted at the door and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Food Bank of Western New York.

The Food Bank of WNY distributes food to approximately 326 member agencies that feed the less fortunate in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara Counties. Each month 116,821 less fortunate Western New Yorkers turn to soup kitchens, food pantries, and other emergency food providers for assistance.  The Food Bank of WNY will be able to provide six meals through its network with every dollar raised.

"Being the 3rd poorest city in the country never prevented us from being the greatest," said Gary Zoldos the event's organizer who is also lead vocalist for Dead Flowers and the Pillagers.

"We want to raise as much money and awareness as we can for Food Bank of WNY while having a Friday night party/celebration of the Rolling Stones at the Cove and we also want to show some of that famous (or infamous) WNY hospitality to all visiting Rolling Stones fans.”
