The answer is a resounding YES, Buffalo will get a long awaited Grocery Store, something Mayor Byron Brown has promised and been working on for years, according to News Reports.

The Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation will be responsible for the project which has changed a bit since the idea was proposed to build at 201 Ellicott Street in Buffalo . According to News Reports, the changes were announced Yesterday (Thursday, October 24, 2018) stating:

The project has shifted from a retail/residential/office/underground parking focus, toward a more refined concept that encompasses the fresh food market/grocery, flexible hardscape to accommodate market parking and small events, substantial affordable housing, and the creation of greenspace.

The Group has also promised affordable rent regarding residence within the facility.  As for a timeline for the Grocery Store, here are the answers (watch video):
