The summer might be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean we still can’t have some fun this weekend! The weather is gorgeous so get out of the house and enjoy it!

First of all this weekend of course is the last homestand for the Buffalo Bison’s and they are going out with a Bang! Today of course is their 25th Season Celebration. The game will kick off at 6:05p at Coca Cola Field and they will be taking on the Rochester Red Wings. The Bison’s will be paying tribute to their 25th season today with special guest appearances and giveaways! Oh and I don’t want to give it away but there may be a surprise or 2! Then you can head back tomorrow to the field and watch the Bison’s take on the Rochester Red Wings again for a 1:05p game. This one in particular is going to be a great game to take the kids too because it’s the Kids Pencil Pouch Giveaway. Seriously what’s a better way for the kids to end their summer then with taking in a great baseball game especially with the Bison’s back to School Day! Be one of the first 3,000 fans in attendance and receive a kid’s pencil pouch!
Another great event this weekend is the Buffalo Irish Festival! It’s their 31st year of the festival and this year the event will be held at Beautiful Canal side. Seriously what a fantastic place to have a fun festival then at Buffalo’s waterfront! Irish or not you are going to love this weekend packed celebration! All weekend long they have events like 3 stages of continuous Irish entertainment from the US, Canada, and even straight from Ireland. There will be Traditional folk music and step and set dancing, traditional foods and beverages (and most of them are even imported right from Ireland!), and even a large group of national touring shops of Irish goods and crafts. You can even learn a little history while you are there because they will be having a exhibit dedicated to the history of the Irish in Buffalo with displays, maps and theater. So this weekend check out the 31st annual Buffalo Irish Festival at Canal side!
Then finally for the history buffs in Buffalo you might want to check out the Living Village taking place at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village. The village is located on Tonawanda Creek Road in Amherst and is open every day except Mondays. You’ll get the chance to experience what is was like to live in the 19th century right here in Western New York! The living village is filled with so many activities It will keep you busy all day! They have 35 acres and 10 historic homes. During the day you’ll get the chance to interact with the interpreters and learn crafts, games, cooking, and even blacksmithing. By the way there is something new at the village every day so definitely go more than once!
