(Albany, NY) -- Flags on government buildings in New York are at half-staff today to honor fallen Buffalo police officer Craig Lehner. Lehner died more than a week ago in the Niagara River after a diving exercise tragically went wrong. Around five-thousand law enforcement officers are expected at his funeral today at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo.

(Buffalo, NY) -- Terry and Kim Pegula, owners of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, are going to eat the cost of the funeral for fallen Buffalo police officer Craig Lehner. Yesterday, it was announced that they won't charge the family, police department or city for costs incurred for this morning's funeral at the KeyBank Center. Lehner died this month in a diving accident. The Pegulas reportedly weren't looking to gain publicity for the gesture.

(Buffalo, NY) -- The Sabres now have a four-game winning streak against the Red Wings. Yesterday, Buffalo beat Detroit one to nothing at the KeyBank Center. Sabres goalie Robin Lehner earned his sixth career shutout with nearly three-dozen saves. The Sabres are facing off against the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.

(Buffalo, NY) -- A chopped-up carcass found in a Buffalo dumpster is believed to have been a bear. "The Buffalo News" reports the carcass was found behind Delaware Avenue near Canisius High School yesterday afternoon. The paper reports that a former transit cop claimed responsibility. He reportedly admitted killing the bear, skinning it and disposing of it in the dumpster.

(Lockport, NY) -- A man who tried to rob a Lockport emergency room is going to serve probation. Yesterday, Adam Kibler was sentenced to five years probation for attempting to rob the ER at Eastern Niagara Hospital last year. He pleaded guilty earlier this year for bringing fake weapons to the hospital and demanding opioids. Kibler has already served nine months in jail and faces years in prison if he violates probation.

>>Buffalo Man Guilty Of Sex Trafficking

(Buffalo, NY) -- A Buffalo sex trafficker is looking at serious prison time. Yesterday, Derek Harris pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and promoting prostitution for girls as young as 14-years-old. Prosecutors say he used the internet to facilitate sexual encounters at an Amherst motel. Harris faces up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced next month.
