Boy, that Vince Vaughn sure has his plate full these days, and we’re not talking about craft services (okay, probably that too.)  Between re-teaming with ‘Wedding Crashers’ star Owen Wilson for ‘The Internship,’ potentially taking on ‘The Rockford Files,’ and developing an FX dominatrix drama, just how will he manage to cram in a new ABC sitcom with Tony Danza?  And which of them will be the boss?

According to Deadline, Vince Vaughn has signed on to executive producer a new ABC multi-camera comedy starring, and executive produced by sitcom legend Tony Danza, yet to be titled.  As a writer for the project has yet to be found, ABC will eye the pilot for development in the next cycle.

The potential series, which follows three old friends with divergent lives looking for a fresh start by moving into a bachelor pad near their children and grandchildren, originated from an idea between Danza and his manager Dan Farah.  Says Danza of the project, “It’s intended to be a funny and honest comedy about getting older, generational differences, and the message that it’s never too late to start a new chapter in life.”

Vaughn will remain strictly in an executive producing capacity, alongside Wild West Picture Show producing partner Peter Billingsley, as well as Danza and Farah.

What say you?  Does a new ABC sitcom for Tony Danza feel like the right move, returning after years spent on ‘Who’s the Boss’ and ‘Taxi?’  Should Vince Vaughn appear in more than a producer’s capacity?  Tell us what you think of the show’s premise in the comments!
