Just before the holidays, History's 'Vikings' season 2 officially set a season 2 premiere for February 27 to accompany the first images from the epic battles to come. Now, History's 'Vikings' are ready to fight their fate with a brand-new trailer teaser featuring Lorde's "Glory and Gore," but what can we learn in the absence of new footage?

Expanding on the initial teaser featuring fire in Ragnar (Travis Fimmel)'s eyes, the extended trailer teaser for 'Vikings' season 2 puts the whole cast on display, in particular evolutions we might see come to pass from each. Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) seems ready for battle at a moment's notice, while Athelstan (George Blagden) continually struggles with his faith, and even Rollo (Clive Standen) shakes off his shackles (and most of his armor) to become an even fiercer warrior than his brother.

In addition to a glimpse of a very-pregnant Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) sprouting wings, we also see ‘Batman Begins‘ star Linus Roache in the new role of King Ecbert of Wessex, cradling a deer. No sign of ‘The Hunger Games’ Star Alexander Ludwig as an elder Bjorn, but we've at least got ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Donal Logue as King Horrik, with a rooster! For...reasons?

Says History of the second outing for 'Vikings':

Season two brings crises of faith, of power, of relationships. Brothers rise up against one another. Loyalties shift from friend to foe, and unlikely alliances are formed in the name of supremacy. Ragnar’s indiscretions threaten his marriage to Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), tearing him and his beloved son apart. Plots are hatched, scores are settled, blood is spilled…all under the watchful eyes of the gods.
