Top O’ The Morning To You

This week marked one of my favorite holidays of all time –St. Patrick’s Day!
While the beer tastes great (and green beer even better) and the car bombs flow like wine, it’s more than just the boozin’ that makes me happy. And it’s more than just getting to wear my favorite color all day or the fact that I’m Irish.
It’s about the festivities that mark the coming together of great friends and neighbors, plus it’s a sign of hope that winter is almost (and hopefully) done.
It’s one of those universal holidays you can celebrate no matter your religion or ethnicity – everyone is Irish on March 17.
That’s why I propose that the day after this holiday be another holiday. A holiday celebrated worldwide: The Day After St. Patrick’s Day!
I mean think about it, we’re all united – across the globe – celebrating St. Patrick. We forget our differences just for one day and have fun. Then, we’re forced to wake up early and be at work.
Think of what would happen if we didn’t have to drag our butts out of bed early the next day.
I think it could be a start to creating world peace.
