In a statewide effort to crack down on impaired driving and save lives, look for the increased focus on DWI's starting this weekend. It was announced that Niagara County Sherriff's Department will be joining the statewide STOP-DWI Labordy Weekend Crackdown, along with other agencies within the county.

According to the press release from the Niagara County Sheriff's office,

"The STOP-DWI Labor Day Weekend Crackdown is one of many statewide enforcement initiatives promoted by the New York State STOP-DWI Association with additional funding from the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee."

The statewide enforcement will begin on August 17 and run through September 3rd.
