The Spice Girls, Paul Ryan Gosling and Buffalo Brew Fest Take Over Twitter [BUFFALO TWEETS OF THE WEEK]
This weekend’s cooler temps were a stark reminder of the inevitable, Buffalo: The end of summer is neigh. But it’s not all bad. The arrival of fall has its pluses, too -- football, the best beer of the year and presidential elections -- as illustrated by this week’s Buffalo Tweets of the Week.
Following the Bills’ dismal performance against the Redskins on Thursday night (August 9), Chan Gailey got all inspirational on us.
That same night, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones played the Harbor, then chowed down. We approve.
On Friday (August 10), the Buffalo Brew Fest took over First Niagara Center.
Some genius, somewhere, started a novelty Paul Ryan/Ryan Gosling Twitter account, and it’s awesome.
@ThatEricAlper blew our minds with this tweet about a Darien Lake show in 1996. Could it be true?
Finally, while people everywhere wished Russell Brand would just go away, Buffalonians went bananas for the Spice Girls return during the Olympics Closing Ceremony.
