The Goose Is Loose

The Goose was loose and Thomas Vanek continued his personal Hot Streak as the Buffalo Sabres dominated the Sharks last night winning 6-3. Thomas Vanek's hot streak pales in comparison to Sydney Crosby who has a point in 17 straight games. It's helped the Penguins win 11 in a row, a streak the Sabres hope to end when they travel to Pittsburgh tomorrow night.  

Paul Gaustad, chatting at his locker stall Thursday morning, was especially excited about that night's game against San Jose. The Buffalo Sabres center is one of the top faceoff men in the NHL, and he was intrigued by the matchups that awaited him.
