Wow. The first Thursday in the Square ever was 30 years ago this Summer. Remember any of the concerts that rolled through that year?

Who knew that the inaugural event in 1987 would become a massive staple and culture that Western New Yorkers look forward to every single Summer.

The 30th lineup of live music in Buffalo is coming up in 2016, but surely there have been changes over the years. The very first Thursday in the Square was at Fountain Plaza before changing to Lafayette Square the following year all the way to 2010 where it ended its run in the 'Square' before moving to the Central Wharf. Now, live music is down by Canalside where it hosts concerts weekly to this day.
