Team USA Olympics Uniforms Made in China?

This past Tuesday (July 10), Team USA unveiled their uniforms, designed by Ralph Lauren, for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics. As usual, some people like them and some people hate them. Personally, I think they’re cool — you know, if you’re hanging out at the yacht club sipping a martini with the rest of your lawyer/doctor/generally rich and famous friends.
But I can get over the looks. What I can’t get over is what’s on the tag: Made In China.
Are you f’n kidding me?! The uniforms that our nation’s athletes are wearing for the opening and closing cermonies are made in China?! These athletes are at the top of their games and are representing our country on the world’s stage, and the best we can do for them is give them a uniform made overseas? Is America completely out of clothing factories?
The U.S. Olympic Committee should be ashamed of themselves.
