Last night in Los Angeles, Van Halen gave critics and industry types even more reason to be optimistic about the upcoming U.S. tour. The band played for over an hour at Henson Studios in Hollywood, including three new cuts from ‘A Different Kind of Truth‘ amongst the greatest hits set list.

When Van Halen comes to the First Niagara Center on March 9, they'll have some new material to play from thier new CD "A Different Kind of Truth." Reportedly a few lucky people have already gotten to hear the new Van Halen record well ahead of its Feb. 7 street date.

The timing couldn't be better for a Van Halen Show in Buffalo. A half-minute clip of the new Van Halen single ‘Tattoo‘ has premiered on Amazon UK‘s website. The full song is expected to be released next Tuesday, Jan. 10 as the next major step in the massive promotional campaign that has unfolded on the band’s behalf in the last few days, including a concert stop March 9 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo. Tickets go on sale one week from today at 10 am at Livenation.com.

It's been nearly 30 years since the David Lee Roth version of Van Halen has graced a stage in Buffalo. That wait could be coming to an end now that the band has announced that they will tour in 2012, with the first tickets going on sale Jan. 10, 2012. No word yet on if there will be a Buffalo show, but we can guarantee that a DJ won't have to live in a van until they agree to play a show in Buffalo. If Van Halen decides to come, they've already made that decision. Plus, Jack FM DJ's have been living in a Van for the last 6 years and it hasn't made a difference.
