The Doors have already been the subject of multiple tribute albums, but the folks at Cleopatra Records have put together a new one that promises to see "the original riders on the psychedelic storm get their own minds blown by the leaders of the new psych rock movement."

Well, here's something interesting for Doors fans: According to a recent Craiglist posting, the owner of the Los Angeles building that's said to be Jim Morrison's last known U.S. residence is selling furnishings from his apartment.

There's no denying that Doors singer Jim Morrison was one of the most charismatic front men of his generation. Unfortunately he was one of the most troubled, too. The singer had a terrible alcohol problem that played a big role in his repeated arrests.

A couple months ago, John Densmore hinted that he and his former Doors bandmate Robby Krieger had buried the hatchet after a long feud and were even considering doing a tribute show for Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who died of cancer in May. Seems it wasn't just idle chitchat: Krieger now says that tribute concert could happen early next year.
