With their latest album, 'Turn Blue,' out today, we figure it's about time to take an inside look at the Black Keys and share some facts you probably didn't know about the bluesy Akron duo.
Seemingly everyone with a valid record contract joined the Rolling Stones onstage last night ( Dec. 15) for the final concert of their 2012 mini-tour, including Bruce Springsteen, former Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, the Black Keys, Lady Gaga and several others.
Their last studio album, 'El Camino,' is less than a year old, and they've been on the road more or less constantly since it came out, but the Black Keys don't sound like they're in any hurry to take time off.
This past Saturday (September 29), more than 60,000 people -- including myself -- packed Central Park's Great Lawn for the Global Citizen Festival, a free show featuring Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses and K'Naan with the goal of raising awareness about and ending extreme poverty across the globe.
