What if Danny Briere Still Played for the Buffalo Sabres?

The Philadelphia Flyers- Pittsburgh Penguins series has been the most entertaining of the first round of the NHL playoffs. The Flyers have set the stage to  bust out the brooms tomorrow night against their cross-state rivals. While Claude Giroux has been the best player,it was Danny Briere who changed the complexion of this series. With the Flyers facing a 3-0 first period deficit in Game 1, Briere took matters into his own hands, scoring two. Sunday he added two first period goals giving the Flyers a permanent lead that the Penguins could never overcome. He was a game-changer. Just like he was when he was a Buffalo Sabre.

Terry Pegula Shoots and Scores Again, This Time with Ville Leino

He's no Brad Richards, but Ville Leino is another solid acquistion for the Buffalo Sabres, who made yet another move just one day into the free agent period. You might say this series actually ended Sunday when the Sabres gave up two, two goal leads in Game Six. It had to be hard to have any confidence that you could beat the Flyers after leaving it all on the ice Easter Sunday and still losing.

I love hockey and I love hockey hits! It's part of the game. But, sometimes there are hits that just scream penalty! The hit yesterday, that Mike Richards, of the Flyers, delivered to Tim Connolly, of the Sabres, was enough to take Connolly out of the game, and potentially the season! He should have been suspended, but the league once again decided not to take action on a head hit, and Richards will be in the lineup tomorrow night for Game 7.
