The Carolina Hurricanes managed to shut down the Detroit Red Wings last night 3-0 thanks to a phenomenal game by goaltender Cam Ward. That means the Sabres will have to earn a point tomorrow night against Philadelphia to force the Hurricanes out of the playoffs.

Not only are the Buffalo Sabres 5-0-2 in the Terry Pegula era, they’ve been playing great since mid-december, making them the team no one wants to face in the first round of the playoffs.
