October 1, 2012 This past Saturday (September 29), more than 60,000 people -- including myself -- packed Central Park's Great Lawn for the Global Citizen Festival, a free show featuring Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses and K'Naan with the goal of raising awareness about and ending extreme poverty across the globe.
August 26, 2012 Neil Armstong, the first man to walk on the moon, passed away yesterday (Saturday, August 25) at the age of 82. However, some people on Twitter are a little confused about just which Armstrong died, exactly.
It’s easy when a story breaks to be so rushed to beat everyone else to it that a mistake can be made, but one error by NBC News had music fans wondering which part of what they read was true. The network initially reported that astronaut Neil Young had passed away, rather than Neil Armstrong.

Double your rock ‘n’ roll pleasure. Neil Young has finally and officially confirmed that he has two Crazy Horse albums on tap. The first record with his beloved on-again, off-again backing band is fully finished and it’s titled ‘Americana,’ while the second one is currently being fashioned.
Rock legend Neil Young doesn’t have a bone to pick with the artists of today (well, he may but he didn’t sound off about it this week) but he is upset with the quality of recordings purchased through digital retailers.
