You ever go to a sporting event and think "Gosh, this National Anthem is dated. R. Kelly would totally do a better job than that Francis Scott Key guy." According to this petition to the White House, one proud patriot has suggested that 'The Star Spangled Banner' be retired in favor of 'Ignition (Remix).' Nearly 10,000 people agree and have signed the petition. God bless the internet and freedom of speech.

Bob Saget has had an interesting career. Originally a stand-up comic known for his very vulgar material, he is most famous for playing patriarch Danny Tanner on ‘Full House,’ a family-oriented sitcom. Since his time with Uncle Jesse, the Olsen Twins and the rest, Saget has settled into a comfortable life of being famous for being Bob Saget.

But, over the weekend, he showed off a much more active skill. The 56-year-old sang the national anthem before a Chicago White Soxs game. So how did he do?

What is it with reality talent competition judges botching the national anthem? ‘The Voice‘ coach Christina Aguilera bungled the song at the Super Bowl last February, and now, Aerosmith frontman and ‘American Idol‘ judge Steven Tyler is being crucified for his poor version of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner,’ which he sang this afternoon (Jan. 22) before the AFC championship game between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. The Pats actually won the game, so Tyler’s inept version wasn’t a curse or bad luck.

Turns out Christina Aguilera isn’t the only one who has trouble remembering the lyrics to ‘The Star Spangled Banner.’

During a 9/11 tribute at the US Open on Sunday, 58-year-old pop icon Cyndi Lauper suffered a similar fate, flubbing the line that’s supposed go “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming” by instead singing “O’er the ramparts we watched, as our flag was still streaming.”
