Motley Crue singer Vince Neil and Kiss bassist and entrepreneur Gene Simmons put their money where there their mouths were the night before a recent Kiss/Motley Crue tour date in Oklahoma. The big-hearted rockers teamed with Jim Glover Chevrolet and Make-A-Wish Oklahoma for an event to raise money and awareness for Make-A-Wish, which helps grant wishes for children who are struggling to overcome an illness.
Motley Crue are doing things on their own terms these days, and that includes promotion, recording, and touring. Bassist Nikki Sixx says that while it’s been fun to have the ‘Sex‘ single out there for fans and to spend time with Kiss on tour, that doesn’t necessarily mean a full album will immediately follow.
A truck carrying pyrotechnics for Kiss and Motley Crue was involved in an accident in Ohio while en route to tonight’s scheduled show at the DTE Energy Music Theater near Detroit, Mich. A joint statement on Kiss’s website includes the pictures below while announcing that tonight’s show has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Sept. 6).
September 1, 2012 Jack's Stick It and Lick It Summer Tour rolled into the Boulevard Mall parking lot this morning (Saturday, September 1) with a huge convoy of loyal listeners hoping to score a pair of tickets to see "The Tour" with two of the biggest rock bands in the world, KISS and Motley Crue. Unfortunately, we only had tickets for the first 50 cars.
We all have our fantasies about meeting our favorite rockers. They usually involve telling our heroes about how much their music has meant to us and gotten us through hard times. In turn, the rocker is so overwhelmed by the praise and asks us to join the tour as a member of the band’s entourage and you become best buddies forever.
The drum rollercoaster has become a major attraction at Motley Crue‘s live shows, but there’s someone ready to challenge the notion that Tommy Lee or the band came up with the idea on their own.

Real cool move from some unlikely heroes. During their Aug. 8 joint concert in Denver, Kiss and Motley Crue announced that they will be donating $100,000 to a relief fund set up to help victims of the July 20 movie theater shootings in nearby Aurora, Colo.
