It’s that time of year again when we apologize to our pancreas and then eat until we're sick -- Halloween candy season! Everywhere we turn, we’re bombarded with chocolate and gummies and sour things and those peanut butter taffies in the wax paper wrapping that no one ever eats. Somehow those things have survived the ages but our favorites have gone by the wayside. It’s bittersweet heaven on earth.
With Halloween just a few weeks away and our obsession with dressed-up animals still going strong, we have been led into the most wonderful of all Tumblr lands with our latest discovery.
We're really getting into the Halloween spirit here at TheFW. It's nothing new -- it's always been one of our favorite holidays (right after Arbor Day). So, while we enjoying settling down with a good (bad) scary movie, sometimes we wax a little nostalgic. These are the songs from our childhood that really get us in the mood for trick or treating, which we're apparently too "old" to do anymore, unless our plan to dress up like a scary six-year-old finally works. October 13, 2012 Fall is an incredible time of the year! Summer might be over but here in Buffalo we have just as many festivals and activities happening around town for the entire family! Pull yourself off the couch and away from the marathon of scary movies and get out of the house to enjoy the fall weather and fall fun!
A cartoon movie character portrayed as fat and ugly is stirring some controversy this Halloween because you can’t be fat to wear her Halloween costume (maybe ugly).
One of our new favorite things about Halloween is funny, candid pictures of people being scared senseless in a haunted house. We had to ask ourselves though, what were they seeing that was so scary? We put our heads together, and we think we've figured it out. Here are our guesses at what was so scary in that haunted house. Because it certainly wasn't a guy in a wolf mask jumping out of nowhere.
It's officially October, which means now let us drown ourselves in Candy Corn Shots and other related sugary goodness. Let us not worry about our waistlines and bask in the glow that is Halloween candy. My teeth may fall out, but at least it was for a good reason!

We started our Halloween Weekend by passing out Fright World passes, candy and Jack FM mini pumpkins, and ended it with some crazy partying at the Town Ballroom.
