It's hard to believe that 2011 marks the 25th year anniversary for the band, and the creation of Buffalo's biggest superstars. Formed in 1986, it seems like yesterday that they were rockin out at the Continental. Now in their 40's Robbie and Johnny continue thier popularity with a new album and a song on the Transformers soundtrack. Looking back on the Goo Goo Dolls 4th of July concert in 2004 it seems almost romantic now. Everybody says they were there, but admit it when it rained liked cats and dogs you probably bolted. Sure some people stayed, but they must have had too much to drink. Proving that Buffalo toughness and pride still runs deep, the Goo Goo Dolls continued to play thru power outages, thunder and lightning and lots and lots of rain.
