Good job, Golden Globes! Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are set to host this year's Golden Globes ceremony, which is scheduled for January 13, 2013. The duo have previously anchored 'Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update desk together, and co-starred in the 2008 film 'Baby Mama.'
In the words of Ricky Gervais, “The Golden Globes are to the Oscars like Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton, bit louder, bit drunker, bit trashier, and more easily bought. Allegedly. Nothing’s been proved.” That was pretty much the host’s theme for the entire evening.
Shocker, Ricky Gervais was not on his best behavior as the Golden Globes host. Fortunately for the other stars in the audience, he wasn’t as bad as he could have been. That didn’t seem to matter to Madonna when it came time for her to take the stage.
Heroes star Hayden Pannettiere, who already tempted us in her role as a cheerleader with super powers, caused quite a stir this week with an apparent wardrobe malfunction that revealed her, ah, golden globes.
I didn't watch this year's Golden Globes. Actually, I can't recall the last time I sat in front of the tube for hours to watch any awards show. Between the tears of joy, the best and worst on the red carpet, and the few shocking moments, I can find out all of it online the next day--and usually do. However, the 68th Golden Globes will most likely go down in history thanks to host Ricky Gervais.
