I LOVE Thanksgiving!  It is seriously my favorite holiday. I plan to spend the whole day eating, watching football, napping and eating (yes, in that exact order too!)  If you don't have plans for Thanksgiving, why not try this Jacktivity on for size!

  • Thanksgiving Day Wild Game Safari Tours

Hidden Valley Animal Adventures -- Varysburg, N.Y.

    November 28, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

I got the chance to check out Hidden Valley Animal Adventures during the summer and I have to say it was incredible!  I really wasn't sure what to expect when we climbed aboard a trolley and crossed a gated bridge.  It reminded me of that scene in Jurassic Park when the big wooden doors opened and they started their adventure.  Only difference this is real animals and not dinosaurs.  You'll get the chance this Thanksgiving to escape into the wild and get up close and personal with over 30 species in their animal park.  You'll have the chance to feed animals like zebras, camels, llamas, and much more in the park.  You'll have the adventure of a lifetime on Thanksgiving this year.  Definitely don't miss out on the petting zoo either they have after your safari.  One of my favorite animals are the donkeys, the little ones, and they are all over the place in the petting zoo.  Have an adventure this year and give your family lots of memories with a unique safari thanksgiving!

  • Holiday Kick Off Celebrations

    Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum

    Friday, November 29-Sunday, December 1

After Thanksgiving is over it's time to start on the next holiday!  Get the family out of the house next weekend and join in the holiday fun with the kick off celebration party happening at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum in North Tonawanda.  They have planned a whole weekend of fun for the entire family!  Holiday decorations are up and they have something for all ages during the festivities.  I just checked too and it looks like the Jolly Fat Man himself - Santa Claus - will be making a special appearance on Saturday at 11am!  It's the Holiday Kick off Celebration at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum.
