The Carolina Hurricanes managed to shut down the Detroit Red Wings last night 3-0 thanks to a phenomenal game by goaltender Cam Ward. That means the Sabres will have to earn a point tomorrow night against Philadelphia to force the Hurricanes out of the playoffs. The math isn't perfect though, as an unholy act of God could allow the Canes to get a spot if they win out, the sun and moon collide and the Hurricanes score about 27 goals in their last two games.  Should be an exciting night with over 80 Sabres Alumni in attendance for Fan Appreciation Night. Couldn't think of a better way to clinch!!!
