The Buffalo Sabres overcame deficits of 3-0 and 5-3 to keep their playoff hopes alive. Derek Roy scored his second of the game on a 4-on-3 powerplay in overtime to complete the comeback and send the Sabres fans that stayed home happy, and lots of Leafs fans bolting for the border.Alexander Sulzer had his best game as a pro with atwo goals and an assist, Tyler Ennis continued to be the Sabres hottest playerand Jordon Leopold tied the game for Buffalo with less than two minutes remaining. Falling behind so early wasn't the plan, with Tyler Bozak doing most of the damage but the Sabres never stopped pressing outshooting Toronto 19-6 in the second and 14-6 in the third.

But it was Buffalo's 4th shot of overtime that clinched this one, with Dion Phanuef in the box serving a delay of game penalty and the Sabres Top 4 forwards on the ice it was Roy who ended it for Buffalo. Talk about every game being a Game 7 for the Sabres. The Florida Panthers also lost a 3-0 lead to Winnipeg and lost in overtime giving the Sabres more options. Flordia needed two points to clinch a playoff berth, and only got one.
