After 10 days of beautiful Fair weather, mother nature closed out the Erie County Fair in style with 2" inches of rain from torrential downpours.

Even though rain dampened the last day, the Erie County Fair enjoyed a successful season. Officials expect attendance marks to surpass last year's record. Highlights from this years Fair included concerts from Ace Frehley, Randy Houser, Miranda Lambert, and Big Time Rush. The Fair also featured a traveling 9/11 memorial, which was making its last stop before returning to NYC.

Many people braved the rain for their last chance to enjoy famous "Fair foods" such as fried dough, Italian Sausage, and Chiavetta's Chicken. New to the menu this year was the "Big Kahuna Burger," which was a cheeseburger that had glazed donut instead of a bun. In other news, every one's arteries are happy the fair is over.

So we say farewell to the Fair until next year, thanks for always being there for us during those dog days of summer.
