One of the best live bands in the world, O.A.R. or Of A Revolution, will be performing at Art Park wednesday night for a free outdoor concert. The show begins at 6:30 P.M.

O.A.R. started as a college band in 1996, playing and recording at Ohio State University. The band quickly became a hit among university crowds among others. They would play as many shows and concerts as they could, and news of the band's prowess was spread by mainly word of mouth. Since 1997, O.A.R. has released six studio albums, but are mostly known for their live performances. They often extend songs to anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes long, varying and improvising along the way. In 2006, O.A.R. performed to a sold out Madison Square Garden holding 18,000 people peaking their live success.

O.A.R. has many elements to their sound, using several guitars and a saxophone in addition to drums and vocals. They are often classified as a "Jam Band," but also have elements of rock, indie, reggie, and ska in their sound. They may be most known for their early hit "That Was a Crazy Game of Poker" as well as later hits "Love and Memories" and "Hey Girl."
