I hate driving in New York City when I have four wheels, a seat belt and 17 side curtain air bags that can instantly appear out of nowhere. I cannot even imagine having to dodge cabs, tourists and pedestrians on a bicycle.

Luckily, NYC has plenty of bike lanes, making the city much more bike friendly. Unfortunately, everyone else also uses the bike lane, for everything but riding.

New Yorker Casey Neistat received a traffic ticket for not staying in the designated bike lane and was fined $50. The NYPD officer didn't seem too concerned that Neistat had to leave the bike lane because of an obstruction and wrote the summons anyways. Neistat went on to film this little video to show the dangers and obstacles NYC bicyclists face every day in a lane which is supposed to be just for them.
