L.A. Kings netminder Jonathon Quick scored a goal in Monday's game against the New York Rangers, a rarity in hockey.

Unfortunately, it was on himself. As you can see below, the Rangers won the faceoff and cleared the puck into the other end, as they were shorthanded.

This is when things took a turn for the worse for Quick: He moved out to control the puck, but ended up losing his stick and re-directed the puck into his own net. The Rangers won the game 3-1, so at least it wasn't a game-winning goal, but nonetheless, I'm sure Quick won't be hearing the end of this for some time.

Oh, I should also mention that Quick was a finalist for the 2012 Vezina Trophy...you know, the one that is given to the best goaltender.
