The name Chris Ring should ring in your ears. He has been a huge part of the Buffalo music scene for quite sometime. Well, he's back at it again!

Locals were heart broken when they heard that The Waiting Room was closing last year. Well, I have good news for you...

Chris Ring and Dale Segal teamed up to open... Rec Room. The location? 79 W. Chippewa St.

According to the The Buffalo News,

"The club will have its grand opening in mid-September when the regular schedule will include concerts early in the week and bar activity on Friday (with Live Band Karaoke) and Saturday (Club Night with DJs). Music fans can get a sneak peek in August, when the club opens on two nights for concerts by the metalcore band For The Fallen Dreams on Aug. 8 and Mixtape Reunion on Aug. 24."

If you are familiar with Chris's work, he doesn't disappoint. He is fantastic about grabbing bands on their "off" dates (on their way to Toronto, PA, Ohio, etc...) to make a pit stop in Buffalo.

The club is set to have two floors but the most unique aspect of the club? The placement of the stage will be in front of the large garage doors, which can be opened to Chippewa Street. This definitely steps up the night club game.

I can't wait to check this venue out. Some of the events booked are:
