It's been killing us to keep this secret, but we agreed to let Talas play their show at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls last night before letting the bass out of the bag. You'll have one more chance to see Billy Sheehan play with Dave Constanino at Jack FM's Sunday Funday Party today at Mickey Rats and Captain Kidds.

Sheehan, a Buffalo native, has gone on to international fame as a bass player having played with David Lee Roth and his own band Mr. Big. He's one of the few bass players who can make that thing sound like a lead guitar. A true virtuso matched only by the likes of Rush's Geddy Lee, Primus' Les Claypool and the Who's John Entwistle. But here in Buffalo we still wish he made it as a member of Talas. The Talas song "Shyboy" was featured on one of Roth's solo albums, and who can forget the Buffalo classic "See-Saw". Long before the Goo Goo Dolls made it, Sheehan was our original hometown music hero. The guys will hit the stage around 5 pm.
