There is a new star stealing the show at Madison Square Garden. Move over Melo, because Kristaps Porzingis is here! That's right, basketball fans, the 19-year-old Latvian rookie is averaging nearly 14 points, nine rebounds and two blocks per game for the Knicks. Many fans were not expecting this kind of immediate impact when the team selected him with the fourth overall in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Instead of Knicks fans reacting in disbelief or even crying like the kid in the above video, Porzingis has quickly turned the city upside down with his play on both sides of the ball. The team is still not close to contending for a top playoff seed in the East, but the foundation is starting to build in the right direction.

ESPN is jumping on the bandwagon, and used a popular Latvian rap to advertise the Knicks game against the Nets Friday night. His jersey sales are not on the same level as Steph Curry, but number 6 could soon become the most popular Knicks uniform worn by fans at MSG.
