It's not uncommon for board glass around a hockey rink to break during collisions but this might be the first recorded case of a player's celebration breaking glass.

The incident happened during a junior hockey league game between the New Jersey Rockets and New Jersey Titans. Titans forward Taylor Cox picked up his second goal in a 4-1 victory and decided to celebrate by leaping into the boards.

Under normal circumstances, Cox would just bounce off the glass and into the arms of his teammates to complete his celebration. However, Cox chose a pane of glass that wasn't stable and broke through the pane and crashed onto the other side.

Taylor wasn't injured by the glass or the landing.
