After being sidelined for more than a month with an elbow injury quarterback Josh Allen showed what he can mean to the future of the Buffalo Bills with a show of talent both in the air and on the ground in leading the Bills to a 24-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaquars on Sunday.  Allen threw for a touchdown pass and ran for another as the Bills won their second straight game.

Allen threw for 160 yards, the biggest chunk coming on a 75-yard touchdown to Robert Foster in the first quarter, then scored on a 14-yard run in the fourth quarter to give the Bills the lead for good.  Allen led all rushers with 99 yards on 13 carries including a run of 45 yards.

One of the key moments in the game came late in the third quarter in the corner of the end zone when some pushing and shoving escalated into punches thrown.  The Bills Shaq Lawson and the Jaguars Leonard Fournette were ejected and that was huge for both teams because Fournette was the Jaguars leading rusher with 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Jaguars could have used him just as they had earlier to gouge the Bills with some huge rushing yards.  With the score tied and the Jaguars with a first and goal at the one, the Jags ended up having to kick a field goal and missed.  The Bills took the ball and marched 68 yards the other way for the go-ahead touchdown.

It was a bit of redemption for a Bills team that fell to the Jaguars in last year's playoffs, but both teams are a long way from the playoffs this year.  The loss is the Jaguars seventh in a row.  The Bills have now won two in a row to improve to 4-7.

The Bills are at Miami next week for the first of two meetings with the Dolphins in December.  They'll meet again in Buffalo in the season finale.
