Thankfully, it's Jimmy Eat World coming to the Town Ballroom on June 1, not Boy Meets World (Although, have you seen Topanga all grown up?). Like Ben Savage, Jimmy Eat World is highly underrated. They just released their sixth full-length album, Invented and fans of the band's older hits like "The Middle," "Sweetness," and "Pain" will find lots to grab onto. Tickets for Jimmy Eat World at the Town Ballroom go on sale Friday Morning through tickets.com or at the Town Ballroom Box Office.

For the new album, the band reconnected with producer Mark Trombino. Jim Adkins, the bands lead singer, tells the rest of the story:

"It had been a really long time since we had met. We talked for a while and it was good. We had already been working on material for Invented for a while, and we were thinking of hiring a producer to work with us, but we wanted someone with a specific skill set and willingness to work in a non-conventional setting."

Here's more of Jimmy Eat World talks about their new album Invented, and how they got their name.

The Middle is still our favorite song.

And this is the news single, "My Best Theory", which has that classic Jimmy Eat World feel you've come to love.

Jimmy Eat World got their start in 1994 and has gained a reputation for being a band of great perseverance and hard work.  Since the 1999 release of their breakthrough debut album Clarity, they've sold millions of records, have had numerous top ten singles at Modern Rock Radio, appeared on Saturday Night Live and have toured with Foo Fighters, Green Day and Weezer.
