Looking back on the Goo Goo Dolls 4th of July concert in 2004 it seems almost romantic now. Everybody says they were there, but admit it when it rained liked cats and dogs you probably bolted. Sure some people stayed, but they must have had too much to drink. Proving that Buffalo toughness and pride still runs deep, the Goo Goo Dolls continued to play thru power outages, thunder and lightning and lots and lots of rain. Luckily for you it was all captured on video, but it's OK if you're hoping the rain stays away this Friday night when the Goo Goo Dolls return to Western New York for a concert at Darien Lake. They are currently touring to support a new album, "Something for the Rest of Us" and just began their 25th year together as a band. Amazing. Michelle Branch opens the show.

Since we still feel guilty for leaving the 4th of July show, Jack FM will be dishing out the Goo with free tickets at the top of every hour starting at 9 am tomorrow. Listen for the cue to call and caller 20 wins. But whatever you do, don't leave if it rains again. If you don't want to take a chance at winning tickets, you can still purchase them at livenation.com
