Take a step back in time with the Jack Rose cocktail, which became popular in the 1920s and 1930s.

This brandy-based drink is rumored to be named after an infamous gambler, Bald Jack Rose, but that is just one of several theories of the origin of the drinks name.

2 ½ oz. Applejack
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
Grenadine to taste
Twist of lemon for garnish

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist. Cheers!
