I wish someone would lock me out.

Earlier this week, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush tweeted that he was enjoying his time off during the NFL lockout. Here’s what he said:

“Everybody complaining about the lockout! Shoot I'm making the most of it! Vacation, rest, relaxing, appearances here and there! I'm good!”

Apparently, Mr. Bush received a boatload of backlash from his 1,671,523 cry babies followers. Seriously? You’re going to be mad that he’s enjoying some down time?

Don’t get me wrong, if there’s not an NFL season this year, I’ll be furious. Football is my thing to do while my husband’s off killing innocent animals. But to fault him for enjoying the slower pace of this spring is dumb. I mean, it’s not like he’s not working out a zillion hours a day (hey, he’s got some competition now).

So while some people may think he’s sitting in a hammock all day sipping Mai Tais, I’m sure that’s not the case. He’s probably putting in more hours than you and me during this “off” time. Heck, I know he’s doing much more than my lazy ass. I mean, I did take my dog for a 20 minute walk this morning, but I’m too tired to do anything more.

If anything we should be pissed that he gets paid millions of dollars and doesn’t work a full year. But that’s a whole diff
