The State Department of Transportation says all lanes of the I-290 at the Colvin Blvd. exit in the Town of Tonawanda will be reopened to traffic on Saturday, November 10th after replacement of a bridge on the eastbound side.  Traffic in both the eastbound and westbound directions has been reduced to two lanes since April.

Replacement of the eastbound bridge is just the first half of a $6.7-million project to replace bridges on both sides of the I-290.  Work on replacing the westbound bridge will begin next spring and the same lane closures will be in place for most of the 2019 construction season.  Traffic in both directions in that area near Colvin Blvd. will once again be reduced to two lanes.
