Hungry? Head to the Fair!

While the Erie County Fair will of course be featuring the classic fair food you have come to expect, there will also be many unique foods and meals available this year.

The fair will feature unique foods such as beer-battered and bison burgers, brick oven pizza, Moose Nuts, stuffed baked potatoes, deep-fried mac & cheese, deep-fried pickles, and anything else that you can think of deep fried. And don't worry, Moose Nuts are just honey-roasted peanuts. Yeah, that's not what we were thinking either. New this year to the fair will also be the Big Kahuna Donut Burger. It's a cheeseburger topped with bacon and a glazed donut. We might be going just for that.

If you're really hungry, you can participate in one of the three eating contests featured at the fair this year. August 14th at 1P.M. there will be an ice cream eating contest. Just try not to get a brain freeze. August 17th will feature a BBQ pulled pork eating contest, and the next day a pie eating contest.

If your not looking to eat your body weight or a donut burger, the fair will still offer classics like fried-dough, candy apples, hot dogs, and lemonade. Check back here at 929jackfm.com for more stories about the fair throughout the week.
