Hofbrauhaus Buffalo Hints At Moving Plans Away From Canalside

What has been "in the works" for a couple a years just got more news about if it is in fact coming to Buffalo. Hofbrauhaus Buffalo made a statement today on Facebook about new news coming out soon accompanied by pictures of a downtown building on Scott Street and a rendering of the building that might soon be there.

The original plans were for the restaurant to be adjacent to the (716) Food and Sport in downtown Buffalo. However, setbacks held up the project due to major power and sewer lines buried under the Canalside site. It looks like those setbacks couldn't be resolved and forced the project to move. This could mean good things because the Canalside site was not big enough for and onsite brewry and was juts going to be a Beir Garden location. Maybe with the move Hofbrauhaus Buffalo could be a larger scale Hofbrauhaus like those in Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
