Here’s Who Gets Lake Effect Snow This Weekend

The snow is coming! This time, for real!

Get your tires, plows, shovels and snowblowers ready. There is a good chance for significant lake snows that will creep in to the southtowns and portions of the metro area of Buffalo.

According to Channel 2 Meteorologist Patrick Hammer, the first wave of snow will arrive early Saturday and Sunday with a few inches piling up but the second round will affect a wider area on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The southtowns and east in to Wyoming county are projected to get as much as 5 inches throughout the weekend.

Tuesday and Wednesday a combination general snowfall and lake effect snow will set up over much of the region. Remember to be patient and get your winter driving skills ready.
