In lieu of the recent "Blurred Lines" verdict. We dive into more similar songs... maybe even the next controversy.There are only so many notes and they can only be played in so many ways. They also say there is no original anymore. Maybe that is what "original" is now-a-days. Taking something you love and making it your own, not the same but your own.

And it might help if you cross genres a little bit so people don't catch on. Like in Lee Brice's - Hard To Love. There are obvious similarities to Tracy Chapman's - Fast Car. Now JACK isn't saying we think Brice is involved in copyright infringement with this song just that the similarities in the music are very prevalent. We also remember from our days at radio clown college that for a successful Copyright Infringement the song needs to be 50% or more similar. Which is how people get away with sampling and all that.

All we can ask is that if Tracy decides to go the route of lawsuit. Just remember that it was JACK FM that clued you in.
