Guns N' Roses have officially announced that they will be extending their Not in This Lifetime tour well into 2017, with 35 new stadium dates in Europe and North America.

The newly announced European leg of the Not in This Lifetime tour (they seem to have dropped the "..." from the name) kicks off May 27 in Dublin, Ireland and concludes Saturday, July 15 in Tel Aviv, Isreal. After that, the group returns to North America for 16 shows beginning July 27 in St. Louis and ending Sept. 8 in San Antonio.

This confirms the news suggested by a recent spate of television commercials and billboard advertisements that began turning up in cities across the globe late last month. Tickets go on sale starting this Friday (Dec. 9) for the shows in Europe and the following day for the North American dates.

Founding bassist Duff McKagan and guitarist Slash made headlines by returning to Guns N' Roses for this tour in the spring after leaving the group more than two decades ago. Following seven shows in April (and singer Axl Rose's tour-saving stint as AC/DC's temporary frontman), the band returned to North America for an extremely popular and well-received 25-date summer arena tour.

Guns N' Roses just completed their 2016 touring schedule with a 15-date tour of America. All told, the 2016 Not In This Lifetime ... tour grossed over 116 million dollars. They will kick off 2017 with 16 January and February concerts in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
