Once upon a time, Van Halen had it all:

Fame, Fortune and more Groupies than Diamond Dave knew what to do with.

What they didn't have was Video chops.

Sure, they could roll tape and do a new song live, but they needed more.

The new age of Video was just starting, but already it was clear that if a band didn't do good video, they would wind up like some silent film star who couldn't convert to 'Talkies'.

So, the boys got together and came up with what is still of the best of the very early videos of the day.

This was a few short years before they would redefine music video with 'Hot for Teacher', but that's another story.
